Have you had Korean sausage bread yet? It tastes like both pigs in the blank and pizza. You can now make this popular Korean bakery item in an air fryer in no time! This is a perfect afternoon snack that you will dream about all the time!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can of crescent roll
  • 4 hot dogs (I use Smart Dogs from Lightlife to make it vegetarian)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons minced onion
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons of corn
  • 1 tablespoon of mayo
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Dash of black pepper
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • Dried parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together minced onion, corn, mayo, mozzarella cheese, and a dash of black pepper. Set aside.
  2. Roll out the crescent dough and divide them into 4 rectangles.
  3. Place a hot dog on top of each rectangle and roll them up so the hot dog is completely covered by the dough.
  4. Cut the rolled hot dog enough to cut the sausage completely but not all the dough.
  5. Gently lift the cut piece and twist away from you to the left and lay it down. Gently press down to flatten.
  6. Lift the next piece and twist away from you to the right and flatten them. Alternative until all the pieces are flattened (see the photos).
  7. Transfer the sausage bread to the air fryer basket.
  8. Add the cheese-corn mixture on top, drizzle with ketchup, and sprinkle with dried parsley flakes.
  9. Cook in the air fryer for 7 to 8 minutes at 350F.

Notes

  • You can customize Korean sausage bread in many different ways. Please read the section above on how to customize them.
  • If you preheat your air fryer, you can cook it for 7 minutes but if you don't preheat, then cook it for 8 minutes.
  • I cook 2 sausage breads in the air fryer at a time.
  • If you don't have an air fryer, You can bake them in the oven - bake at 375F for 11 to 13 minutes.
